Moody’s reviews UK banks for possible downgrade

[ad_1]

UK banking stocks are under pressure after Moody’s put 14 lenders under review for a possible credit score downgrade.

The ratings firm says the withdrawal of £1 trillion of government support given in the financial crisis may increase credit risk.

However, it says the move does not reflect a view that health of British banks and building societies has deteriorated.

Manoj Ladwa from ETX Capitals told the BBC how damaging this news is for the banks.
