Working with nature to stop floods in North Yorkshire

The town of Pickering in North Yorshire has turned to low-tech methods to protect against flooding.

They include planting trees, changing water courses and building dams from wood debris.

One in six homes in England and Wales is at risk of being flooded and the government spends millions of pounds each year on trying to protect them.

The BBC’s Jenny Hill reports.
