Helen Mirren wins Hollywood award

Dame Helen Mirren is honoured with an achievement award at the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Power 100 Women In Entertainment.

The actress picked up the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, from fellow actress Halle Berry – who was last year’s recipient.

In her speech she commented on how attitudes to women are changing in the acting industry.

The awards marked the third major media event in less than 24 hours for Dame Mirren, following a string of press interviews for her new film The Tempest.
